Rik Deskin Needs Our Help
OK, this hasn’t been his week. One of the real good guys in SAG sent us this e-mail:
One of the causes that I’m fighting for is the non-profit theater company I run: Eclectic Theater Company, a company that periodically hires union actors under AEA contracts.
We were hit hard financially last Fall with the recession, and have fallen behind in our theater rent. We’ve managed to continue to make payments to the property manager, but we were just served with a Pay or Vacate notice, with $2960 due tomorrow.
What we need is a donation(s), grant or even a loan from someone that could help us in this critical time. We do have anticipated box office revenue arriving Saturday and weekly thereafter, a pending liquor license that once active, opens a revenue stream and future rental revenue but we need a band-aid to get us over the hump.
We are a 501(c)3 so donations would be tax-deductible. Someone could also purchase space credit that could be used for future performances, rehearsals, classes, location for shooting, etc. Donations can be made through PayPal at The Electric Theater Company.
